There is a law with regards to tinting car windows and that is as follows:- Any glass forward of the 'B' pillar must allow a 70% VLT (Visible Light Transmission) and the majority of cars come with glass tinted to that level as standard so it therefore becomes illegal to tint the front door glasses and windscreen. The tinting of such glasses could result in the removal of the film by the police or in the event of an accident could result in your insurance being invalid.
